PreSonus Update and Tech Notes
Capture for StudioLive now allows 32 channel simultaneous recording and various enhancements: Version : v.1.1.
The following PreSonus software is now Windows 7-compatible: Capture 1.1 and later, Studio One Pro 1.0.1 and later, Studio One Artist 1.0.1 and later, and Universal Control for all FireStudio-series interfaces and for the StudioLive.
Studio One Version : v.1.1 adds many features and enhancements including the ability to draw automation waveforms, and automation points can be locked to selected events and dynamic time stretching plus a new, enhanced key-command editor.

Sneak Peek: StudioLive 24.4.2
An analog mixer is a rotary dial telephone. A StudioLive™ is a 3G cell phone with an easy-to-use interface and powerful applications. Building on the huge success of the PreSonus StudioLive 16.4.2, a new, bigger and enhanced version is on the horizon. Here’s a preview of the StudioLive 24.4.2.
There’s an even fatter Fat Channel on the 24.4.2 with a fully parametric 4-band EQ and a truly studio-grade gate with Key Filter and Key Listen. It also has a dedicated Limiting threshold switch. Mixing flexibility is significantly increased by adding 4 more aux buses to the 16.4.2’s 6 for a total of 10 aux sends for effects, monitors, etc.
The new 24.4.2 adds to the 16.4.2’s single graphic EQ by having 4 stereo 31-band graphic equalizers, which can be applied to the main, subgroup, and aux outputs with a dedicated master graphic EQ switch.
Of course, StudioLive consoles are now bundled with Studio One Artist, the amazing new DAW software with 20 new PreSonus Native Effects plug-ins and virtual instruments and a generous bundle of third-party loops, software, and instrument sounds. Shipping Spring 2010.

Presonus FP10 replaces Firepod
Although the Firestudio Project is the “next generation” FirePod, the FirePod’s spirit (and chipset) lives on in the FP10. Those with established FirePod setups who want to expand, can easily integrate up to 2 FP10’s for a total of 24 channels right out of the box. (The FireStudio Project uses the same Dice II chipset as the FireStudio, and thus, is not compatible with the FirePod/FP10, which uses a Bridgeco chipset.)
